Rainy day You need something to warm you up Golden Star Vietnamese Pho is the place to go for its rich but clean after taste of beef broth. I like the original pho here, so #1 is my go-to dish here. My husband really liked his pork chop with imperial roll which is #35 on the menu. They take credit card which is also a great thing about the place! So many places nearby that only takes cash.
No-frills Vietnamese eatery dishing out savory vietnamese noodle soups, imperial rolls, spring rolls and vermicelli noodle bowls to the local families of Chinatown and tourists looking for a good deal. Authentic flavors and big portions along with real Vietnamese coffee served out of a French press makes me love this place even more. Noted for authentic Vietnamese flavors, big portions and fair prices Family run so please tip kindly if you can!
This Vietnamese establishment is pretty popular with the locals. I've never seen it empty. Service has just been ok every time I've been here. During one of my previous encounters, they served me pho with bean sprouts already on top without an additional plate for the usual garnishes (bean sprouts, basil, etc.). Usually, there is a separate plate for customers to add :/.That being said, I can tell they are dedicated to serving their customers high quality food, making sure they enjoy and are satisfied with their food. I can also tell they have pretty dedicated loyal customers.
It's tasty and reasonably priced. There was a bottle of hui fong sriracha sauce which has been a rare item recently. Great! Will be back
Stopped by randomly while visiting SF for work. Craving Vietnamese food and did a search and found this gem with a solid rating and well over a thousand hits. So it must be decent and worth a try, right? Did not disappoint! Of course this review is based solely on one dish ordered - Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). You can safely judge the quality of a Vietnamese restaurant like this usually by one of two dishes, the Pho is probably most frequent item to judge. Second would be this Bun Bo Hue. Why? Because it's a complex soup noodle that requires real craftsmanship and skill to have a broth that is deep and rich with just the right balance of heat and heaviness. This place hit those marks.
